How It Works
Your vehicle's engine is controlled by an Engine Control Unit (ECU), which manages parameters such as fueling, ignition, boost pressure and torque.
A vehicle remap modifies the ECU calibration to optimize the way the engine operates.
Depending on the vehicle, engine and existing calibration, this can result in improvements to:
- Power
- Torque
- Throttle response
- Acceleration
- Overall engine performance
- Possible MPG gains
Every vehicle is different. Results depend on the engine, existing calibration, vehicle condition and available tuning options. We don't promise unrealistic gains — we assess the vehicle and explain what can realistically be achieved.
Gains can vary on cars mileage and usage.
Remapping Info.
Vehicle condition
For us to carry out the software re-calibrations your vehicle must be in good working health, we can check this by scanning the car and smoke testing it before hand (Included in your quoted price)
Guarantees and warranty
as per most remapping services provided, remaps are not warranted or guaranteed, this is purely down to we do not know the full history of the vehicle, if there has been issues hidden prior to turning up to remap the vehicle. remapping is at owners discretion and risk, we can only advise to a certain point, By accepting the remap service, you Yourself (the customer) are accepting all risk and liabilities.
DPF and EGR + Adblue
DPF, EGR And Ad-blue solutions are £30 Per Additional extra, so its important to mention this when wanting a stage 1 quote.
(DPF, EGR, Ad-Blue solutions should be only used for Track or off road vehicles only).
Generic maps?
Our maps are not generic, we retrieve your base map, adjust it with the help of experts who have dyno ran the specific vehicle, so essentially you are getting a dyno calibrated remap, this can be tailored per vehicle.
How much does it cost?
Our Base price minimum is £199, if you wanted extras like DPF, EGR Ad-blue solutions + Popcorn limiter installed bundles can be created to save more money.
We recommend on cars that are not too carbon blocked to have a Hydrocarbon clean + Oil and Filter Change then a Stage 1 for a benefit in both reliability and potential MPG gains.
TCU Tunes
We also offer TCU tunes on applicable vehicles to accompany the ECU tune, these are separate calibrations and are also charged differently, you will have noticeable improvements in both shifting and pulling off from a standstill.
TCU tunes are also a great way to potentially improve torque management when remapping your ECU Torque figures increase therefore standard software on the TCU can only adjust for this so much, with a ECU + TCU remap its more like they both work together to achieve the best possible outcome for your vehicle.
